Different types of graphics

Graphics play a vital role in web design. They are often used to draw attention to certain aspects or highlight important points. In addition, they enable developers to create stunning visual experiences across devices such as mobile phones, tablets, desktops, TVs and other smart gadgets. Let’s see below the different types of graphics.

Graphic Design

This is the art of designing your website page so that it looks professional and attractive. It includes all the elements of an effective graphic design, including pictures, colours, fonts, shapes, etc. A well-designed site will make you stand out from the crowd.

Infographics

An infographic or infographic is an information graphic which presents data visually. The graphic can be presented on any topic, but most commonly they depict business, scientific, technical, or historical information.

Layout

Layout refers to how something is put together. For example, a layout for a brochure means the way pages are organized and placed together. A good layout makes reading easy while not confusing readers.

Motion Graphics

These visuals are created using animation and video editing software and contain both 2D animations and 3D models. Motion graphics help websites become more interesting and interactive.

UI/UX Design

User interface (UI) is the part of UX that deals with how easy it is to use a product. There are three major components including the look, function, and content of the user interfaces.

 Visual Identity

A company’s identity consists of everything about a brand—from what it stands for, it’s positioning, its personality, and even its name. All these factors combine to give customers an idea of who the brand is and what it represents.

Branding

Branding is one of the oldest forms of advertising, dating back to ancient times when people proudly displayed their social status by wearing distinctive clothes or accessories. Today, branding continues this trend, only now the purpose is much higher than simple self-expression! Companies spend a lot of money on creating a unique image that distinguishes them from their competitors.

Typography

The process of selecting typefaces that work well together takes time and expertise. But there are many programs available today — both free and commercial — that make the job easier.

Web Development / Technology

Web development involves making our sites accessible via modern technology. This may include making our current HTML code compatible with new coding standards, updating our existing technology, adding new features to enhance usability and accessibility, and optimizing our sites for search engines like Google.

Content Strategy

Content strategy is very similar to marketing; however, instead of focusing on products, services or brands, it focuses on the content itself. In other words, it’s about getting visitors to stay longer on your site and then getting them to convert into customers.

Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the practice of improving the visibility of a website within organic, or unpaid, search results. SEO helps a website gain traffic from “free”, natural search results rather than paid advertisements.

Copywriting

Copywriting is another form of communication where we take all the details of what someone wants to read and write it down in such a way as to persuade him to act. It is useful because you do not need a degree in English literature to understand it.

Creative Direction

Creative direction is the overall general concept behind an entire project. It has nothing to do with art specifically. Creative directors should have a vision of what they want a project to accomplish or create. They also plan creative aspects of a campaign including writing copy and coming up with ideas regarding images, videos, style guides, layouts, etc.

Project Management

A project manager is responsible for managing the whole life cycle of a project, including planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out projects successfully.

Proofreading

Proofreaders go through documents line by line looking for errors and correcting spelling and grammar mistakes. If you were to apply this technique to a book, it would be equivalent to going page by page through every chapter trying to find typos in each sentence. This can seem tedious but if proofreading is done properly, it will save a lot of time in the long run.

Advertising

Advertising is pretty straightforward: You put a product in front of consumers and try to make them think of buying it. The best ads make you stop and change the channel or close the magazine.
